I am not sure why I thought of this as I was reading this piece Connie--but I had been feeling a little stuck--and the highlighted words above made me think of my experience reading Diane Seuss' frank sonnets--that the magic, when it happened for me, happened in a very unexpected place and way--I think it was mention of the shadows from the shore--
